Ferrari’s, Maserati’s, Pavarotti, Balsamic Vinegar, the Colour Red... all these items have one thing in common… the exciting city of Maranello. On Saturday 26 August 2006, Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre will be transformed into the palatial ballroom of Club Maranello. The city, which is located just outside of Modena in Italy, may not be as famous as the products it produces, but it certainly has the very best of everything Italian in one area. It is home to the iconic Ferrari and Maserati and is one of the largest balsamic vinegar producing areas of Italy. Even the legendary Pavarotti comes from the same region! The event, which is raising funds for the Aussie Kids Charity, has the official support from the City of Maranello and will be the launch pad for the city’s trademark “Made in Red”, a name due to the large number of Ferrari’s ordered in “Maranello Red”. World renowned jewellers Tiffany & Cowill be giving away luxurious trinkets to some lucky guests as well as supplying some enticing auction items. Palazzo Versace, L’Erbolario, Singapore Airlines and Di Bella Coffee are also donating prizes to raise funds for the Aussie Kids Charity. Special support has also been received from many Brisbane companies including financial consultants Godfrey Pembroke. To complete an evening of total indulgence, the chefs at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre have designed a special Italian menu which will embrace the culture and culinary tradition of Italian fine dining. Guests will be treated to a special appearance from Queensland’s own Luciano Pavarotti whilst sipping on their delicious cup of Brisbane’s own Di Bella Coffee! The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Queensland is proud to present an evening that is not only unique but that will tantalise your senses. |
