 20 May 2013

On May 20th in collaboration with DI BELLA COFFEE and FASOLI GINO winemakers, ICCI hosted a wine presentation night at Di Bella Coffee in Bowen Hills.

Fasoli Gino, on this occasion represented by Natalino and Matteo, produces white and red wines coming from the lower Illasi valley, at the east side of Verona country, which has a great vocation for enologic productions.

The vinery products are entirely made from biological farming, among which the Merlot "Calle" and the Merlot "Orgno", the Soave Classico "Pieve Vecchia", the Amarone della Valpolicella "Alteo" and the Recioto di Soave DOCG "San Zeno" stand out.

Sunshine Coast Branch Lunch

8 April 2013

On April 8, ICCI (Qld) hosted the first Sunshine Coast Lunch at Arnica Restaurant in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast.

This event marked the official beginning of a new type of collaboration in the history of the Chamber that presided the meeting of his local member base mainly from the Brisbane area together with a new portion of Italo-Australian businesses located on the coast.

The function attracted a very high level of attention among the locals for the special guest speaker Philip Di Bella, CEO and founder of Di Bella Coffee. Philip Di Bella came to the coast in order to share his experience and provide the public with the "Di Bella success story and how it happened" account.

In 2002 Philip's passion for coffee and entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a small coffee-roasting operation in the suburbs of Brisbane, leasing a roaster part-time, working nights and walking days knocking on doors to get cafes and restaurant to buy his coffee. Today, this company has grown from a small coffee retailer to Australia's fastest growing specialty coffee company that supplies more than 1200 cafes throughout Australia. You can buy freshly roasted coffee direct from Di Bella Coffee's Brisbane Roasting Warehouse in Bowen Hills or online at mydibellacoffee.com.au.

Comm.Hon President Santo Santoro thanked Philip Di Bella and the audience in attendance, remarking the great successes achieved by the Italian community since the first migrations in Australia. Such efforts and successes have contributed to building the very positive image of Italian business and culture that the Chamber is proud to incorporate.
