NEWS ON ICCI QLD
On 27 and 28 of July, the Chamber will host an Italian Trade Delegation, Locatelli Macchine Srl, leader in woodturning. Locatelli is a profitable company producing automatic lathes for turning wood products, automatic sanders for wood-turned pieces and other related tools. 90% of the company's turnover comes from exports. This company is sending from Italy a trade delegation, which will be in Brisbane at the end of July. It would be interested in scheduling meetings with Qld-based businesses operating in the same business sector.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia, Queensland, has recently supported, together with ICCI Sydney, the activities of another Italian trade delegation from “ETC ecology", a company operating in the energy and electrical networks sectors. Several meetings were scheduled to discuss the production and use of solar power with both well-established and small, young companies such as Origin Energy, Energex and Ingenero, as well as Trade and Investment Queensland. It is in out best interest to develop business relations in such a delicate sector and to see them grow, helping Queensland in its environmental quest to reach the Renewable Energy Target, which is designed to deliver on the Government’s commitment to ensure that 20 per cent of Australia’s electricity supply will come from renewable sources by 2020.
